Herten, 19 April 2018.

On 17 April 2018, the 6th Polymer Forum of TER Plastics POLYMER GROUP took place. The number of visitors was yet again much higher than in the previous years, and the Stadthalle in Aschaffenburg had difficulty coping with the numbers. This time, 450 people attended it, 10% more than at the last event. The programme included presentations and practical experience reports from GKV TecPart, suppliers of raw materials, branch experts, users, and institutions in the plastics industry.

IA total of fourteen high-quality special presentations took place in two parallel sessions, with topics ranging from environmental plastics issues, the megatrend electromobility and design concepts on transparent materials in automobiles, to trends in the field of electronics. Apart from the special presentations from the plastics industry, Daniel Siegel from the Alfred Wegener Institute reported on revolutionary developments in the field of bionic lightweight construction.

The event was hosted by the Head of Application Technology of TER Plastics, Goran Brkljac, who entertainingly led us through the programme and the discussions. The visitors also took advantage of the lovely weather to exchange their experiences and to network.

What makes the Polymer Forum so successful is a programme and concept which is oriented towards the requirements and expectations of its visitors. Those attending have the opportunity to influence future functions with their suggestions and ideas. “Last year, a lot of people inquired about topics like amorphous materials and applications,“ says Goran Brkljac, “and the innovative online questionnaire tool, which is also based on one of the visitor’s ideas, was again very popular. Our visitors appreciate the winning mix of challenging technical presentations and outstanding opportunities to network. I’m very proud of this.“
