Internationalization, New Products and Development Partnerships are the Milestones for Ter Plastics

Ter Plastics Polymer Group has been under new management since the beginning of the year. The main focus of the new strategic direction is an expansion of the pan-European market position.

The first steps in the new strategic direction were the reorganization of the sales structures, the bundling of service at headquarters in the Ruhr area and focusing on industry needs. 

Expanding the pan-European market position

Expanding the product mix and strengthening our pan-European presence are additional focal points of the strategic overhaul at Ter Plastics. For the next few months, the top priority is to continue on the path of the company’s international growth. An expansion of the Sales network and of the Distribution portfolios is planned.

"We will be placing even more strategic focus than before on our expertise as an experienced development partner in the plastics processing industry. At the same time, we will also more strongly engage our regional competency based on our knowledge of the country-specific requirements of our international customers," says Wolfgang Siegel, CEO of the Ter Plastics Polymer Group.

Focusing on industries and solutions expertise

A targeted focus on subsidiaries and target markets is as much a part of the new direction as a concentration on the special development strengths of Ter Plastics. Especially in the areas of tribology, metal replacement and durability, the company group offers special expertise and is introducing additional new developments at K 2013. The product series TEREZ GT3, for example, opens new possibilities in metal substitution. The portfolio of unique slide-friction optimized TEREZ brand PTFE compounds is an additional strategic focal point the company will be expanding in the future.

Ter Plastics makes a new appearance with the new internet site www.terplastics.com that offers a broad range of information for all plastics processors and technical experts.

Introducing the new group name "Ter Plastics Polymer Group”

Another reflection of the new positioning of the plastics distributor is the new group name "Ter Plastics Polymer Group" under which Ter Hell Plastic and its associated companies will present themselves for the first time at K 2013.

"During the past years we have evolved from a distributorship in the German speaking area to an internationally active company group," believes Wolfgang Siegel. "We are supporting that evolution with this new group name, which is easier to understand internationally and more transparent than the previous name."

At this time, in addition to Ter Hell Plastic GmbH, Ter Hell Plastic PE-Distribution, Ter Engineering Plastic Trading Ltd. (China) as well as Ter Hell Sales East are part of the Ter Plastics Polymer Group. Additional acquisitions are planned as part of the expansion of the company group in Europe.
