3rd Polymer Forum in Germany again a Complete Success

14. Apr 2016

More than 300 participants from the plastics industry visited the event series of TER Plastics POLYMER GROUP in Oberursel/Taunus on 6 April. “The significant increase in the number of participants compared to the previous year shows that we have aroused the interest of the industry with our Polymer Forum,” said Goran Brkljac, Application Engineering and Product Development Manager at TER Plastics and responsible for the Polymer Forum.

The TER Plastics POLYMER GROUP positions itself as a development partner to the plastics industry with innovative solutions and products. Many of these product innovations were presented to more than 300 participants in Oberursel/Taunus on 6 April in the course of the ‘Polymer Forum’ event series.

Goran Brkljac and his organisation team managed to get high-calibre speakers for the Polymer Forum. They reported on the latest developments in lightweight design, temperature management and service life determination for plastics, to mention just a few topics.

The partially aromatic Stanyl ForTii MX product series, newly developed by the Dutch polyamide specialist DSM, had its premiere there. The products are suitable for use under high-temperature stress conditions and feature improved stiffness and chemical resistance for high-stress applications, such as automotive and powertrain applications.

Besides the technical lectures from the plastics industry, Dr. Carl Naughton, one of Europe’s best keynote speakers, enthused the audience with his lecture about innovations and creativity.

During the breaks, further experts from raw material manufacturers like DSM, Polyplastics and Solvay were available for discussions with the participants within the scope of a trade exhibition. The pool of information was supplemented by experts from associations and institutions like GKV, Cetex, IKV, KIMV and UL and from the KraussMaffei and Simpatec companies.

TER Plastics has set up its own event home page at www.polymer-forum.de in order to provide the participants with all event-related information in the best possible, convenient way.

The Polymer Forum 2017 will take place in Aschaffenburg’s municipal hall (Stadthalle) on Thursday, 11 May.
