Demanding high-temperature requirements are made of many automotive and electronic components, which are exacerbated further in the case of significantly reduced wall thicknesses. 

The utilization limitations that shift therefore and the new component specifications that result from this, can often not be fulfilled with traditional PA6 and PA66 compounds. As a result, new kinds of “high temperature” polyamide were developed in the past number of years in order to meet these increased temperature demands.
