In the electric and electronic industries, flame resistant polyamides have been used successfully for many years already. The essential requirements with respect to complex E&E applications are a higher level of heat resistance in order to support the functional integration and the miniaturisation of components. With our partners DSM Engineering Plastics, Solvay Engineering Plastics and TEREZ PERFORMANCE POLYMERS, we offer you an extraordinarily broad portfolio for these applications.
Demanding high-temperature requirements are made of many automotive and electronic components, which are exacerbated further in the case of significantly reduced wall thicknesses.
The utilisation limitations that shift therefore and the new component specifications that result from this, can often not be fulfilled with traditional PA6 and PA66 compounds. As a result, new kinds of “high temperature” polyamide were developed in the past number of years in order to meet these increased temperature demands.
Solvay Engineering Plastics offers a wide product range of flameproof materials for different applications. Technyl One is a halogen-free PA66 with optimum processability and limited corrosiveness.
