Among the thermoplastic elastomers, they belong to the block copolymers in which the hard and soft segments are chemically mixed with one another. Similar to many block copolymers, they also form a multiphase system. The specific arrangement of ester-based hard segments and soft segments generate an excellent characteristics profile. This allows high utilisation temperatures, as well as good chemical resistance to be combined in terms of elastic behaviour and thermoplastic processability.
